What happens when an adopted teenage girl decides to change her destiny by taking charge of her fight against the system? The film follows Amy as she decides to go up against the Danish and Ethiopian authorities, trying to repeal and terminate her adoption, as well as desperately trying to restore her lost relations by reclaiming her identity. Over the course of three years, we follow her fight to obtain her deepest wish: recreating the family bond, which was destroyed from one day to the other, when she was adopted at the age of nine.
